Gated communities with a single entry usually staff the gatehouse during peak hours and switch to patrol overnight. Sprawling communities with multiple entrances get more value from randomized patrol with GPS tour verification, because a fixed post only protects one point.
Board considerations
Get a certificate of insurance naming the association as additional insured, insist on written post orders approved by the board, and require monthly incident summaries for board meetings. Ranger provides all three as standard.
